The first edition of the Jordan 1 — fondly referred to as “Air Jordans” at the time—came out in 1985 to huge success. Beloved by basketball fans, Air Jordan Sneakers Men Jordan fans, and even skateboarders, the shoe became a hot item — even for collectors. But, for nearly ten years, the style sat dormant as Nike and Jordan moved on to other designs. A few more releases came and went until 2007 when new and old colorways hit the market, and this classic style came back into fashion in a big way with Jordan Retro 1s.
History comes with a critical eye, and the AJ1 passes the tests with flying colors. Comfortable? Jordan wanted thin soles to be able to feel the court, Soft and Comfortable but even he couldn’t deny how fine these shoes fit. Supportive? Premium leather and an Air Sole unit in the heel keep you ready to move. Durable? Practically indestructible. Soles are rubber for superior footing on and off the court. The AJ1 Highs are incredible basketball shoes.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid “White/Pollen/Black” is a clean look for the mid-top version of the retro basketball shoe. In “White/Pollen/Black,” the Jordan 1 Mid arrived in 2021 in yet another wearable colorway. The perforated toe and Air Jordan 1 High Premium Green mid-panel display a white leather construction. Contrasting black leather can be found on the various overlays on the upper, including on the Swoosh logo.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Metallic Red” is a Chicago Bulls inspired colorway of Michael Jordan’s first signature shoe. The Bulls’ team uniform colors, black, white, Red Air Jordan Sneakers and red, have appeared on countless legendary Air Jordans and add a retro inspired look to the design of the “Metallic Red.” Details include white leather on the perforated toe and on the mid-panel. Black leather can be found on the forefoot, eyelets, collar, and heel.
